I think she needs to have a metal BRC ring on her hind leg to show and has to be registered to you

She does look like a pure nethie to me. I have a show standard nethie bred by a BRC member but she was never rung so I can't show her in anything other than pet classes. From what I understand, only the breeder can ring a rabbit and it has to be done as a baby otherwise they can't get the ring on and then you need to register the rabbit to yourself. So unfortunately, no chance of getting Janice rung. You could still show her in pet classes though...

The coat looks the right type (roll back), but we would need to see her in a show stance to see properly. She looks like her head could be a little too big and not round enough though. Also what size cage does she have and does she run around alot?

janice looks a lot nicer than a few doing the shows!

a doe will not have as big a head as a buck,
does are usualyy only shown in the under 5 months classes, as when they are adult the boys have fatter heads

she`s got a nice profile and her ears look good, is she a dark siamese sable?
( has she go a ruby glow to her eyes in dim light? )
you just need to teach her to sit shorter, lol

to show you need to join the brc,
order some rings,
and get to a show!

its easy to put a nethie ring on at janice`s age

i thought you could ring and show a pet shop rabbit, as long as it was put in the non-breeder classes?

Cute pet bunny. If you are serious about showing though, you need to go to a proper breeder and buy a good quality rabbit with some show potential.Same as buying any animal to show.

you`re better off trying to breed your own show nethie, its very difficult to buy a good one
a lot of breeders use newcomers to dump their cp!

your doe is a very nice doe, i`d be very happy to have her in my shed

my experience is totally different. When I wanted to show I was sold some typy animals, not top show winning but definately not crap. If someone wins with their stock, genetically they won't have crap. Same as showing my poultry. If someone wants to start showing, I won't be selling them my top winning birds. That would be pretty silly wouldn't it? Instead, I'll sell them some birds with faults which mean that they might win at small shows but wouldn't win at the top shows, but they are buying genetic potential. After all what sort of fool would sell their winning animals, then risk being beatn at shows by their own animals which they've put the time anf effort into breeding etc.
That's how it works with showing any animals, you buy from someone who shows, you buy potential and you put in the effort to breed from them and win with what you breed. Crikey if all it took was enough money, all I'd need to do is go around buying up winning animals and show them so I could have walls full of rosettes.
As for breeding your own, where to go for the parent stock? Go to a petshop? No, you go to someone who shows and buy good quality stock from winning stock, buy the best you can find. You cannot breed crap from quality, nor can you breed quality from crap.
