Hi,
Chinese Hamsters are fantastic with people and make wonderful pets, but they can be very aggressive with each other.
On occassion you will find Chinese Hamsters that will live together without fighting long term, but they are unusual. In general Chinese Hamsters will eventually fight with their cage-mate.
When I first started keeping my Chinese Hamsters I kept some as pairs and groups, but all of them needed to be seperated into individual cages eventually. Chinese Hamsters can inflict very nasty wounds on each other (and can kill one another) so if you see any signs of aggression please seperate your boys immediately.
I have found Chinese Hamsters to be really great pets. I hope that you enjoy keeping your Chinese Hamsters too.
Heather.
