Default Chinese Painted Quails

Okay i havent give up my dream of owning a Little Owl before anyone starts saying im one of those people who want this this and this and never end up getting them.

I am still also wanting the rabbits that i mentioned although ive gone a step backwards into the deciding if i want rabbits or G.Pigs.

Anyway lets get back on track,

I was just wondering if i did manage to track some down near me would it be okay to keep them in the shed in a cage similar to this and bring them out into the garden or onto the shed floor when im around ?

The shed will be heated and boarded out as the mice are going in there anyway, and the rabbits or g.pigs when i decide which one lol

You couldnt take them in the garden unless they where in a cage or they would fly away.

They won't lay unless they get a long enough period of light - if that is your plan. Otherwise they'll be find kept in the shed.

You could make an indoor aviary in your shed for the Quails, it would be much better for them than that small cage in the picture. The aviary dont have to be very tall as quails dont need anything to roost on, and maybe you could have a large Guinea-Pig cage on top of the quails if the wood you use was strong enough to support the cage.
