all these rat threads and pics are having an effect on me.... i normally hate rats... as many times as i've been bitten you couldn't blame me.... but i'm slowly coming around.... i still don't much like them but they aren't the vermin i once considered them to be.... i can see how they could be positive things to keep....... i'm more of a hamster/mouse kind of guy.... rats and me just have a bad past. cool pics!... lucky rats...

Although I keep mice rats and hamsters too, I would say that if I could only have one type of rodent it would probably be a rat, with mice a close second. Hamsters are more likely to bite than a nice steady ratty any day. I always have to watch myself with the hamsters and let them know that I'm about to pick them up but my ratties I just open the cage and pick.
