Default my vet visit

Well folks, after my little visit from the R-SS-PCA I got a lot done. One of the things I did was ask my vet to come for a home visit, then inspect each and every animal on the premises, plus their accommodation and offer criticisms if and where needed and write me an evaluation.
I did nothing to prepare for his visit. That would be pointless. It had to be on the basis of how I live on a daily basis.
So, he came in, checked all the dogs over, commented on how well they were and how well socialised. Commented on Queenie being a little underweight but as she is feeding her puppies this is understandable. I'm cramming food into her at every opportunity but it's going straight onto the babies. But, the point was noted by me. I'll get some tripe for her.
Then he checked them all for fleas , there are none, and asked about worming regime (every 3-4 months). He recommend I keep a record book and note any health issues, dates of worming and any flea treatments etc, which I shall do. He checked the food and water and there was plenty of both and both were in clean containers. He asked how often I cleaned the dog room floor and washed the bedding and I told him. Then he checked all the cats who were in at the time, same thing, feed, water, litter trays. He made a note of all the cat and dog and puppy food tins stacked in the scullery, looked at sell by dates, checked all the cat and dog and puppy kibble. All noted down.
Went into parlour, checked puppies and gave them their second vax, looked at the tropical fish, asked what they were fed on and I opened the drawer to show 7 different types of food as I like to offer variety. He looked at Marlon the cham, and Moriarty the beardie. I also showed him my drawer full of 'pretties' (lobster roaches) but he shuddered and asked me to close the drawer hehe.
Then I took him to the rodent room where he checked each cage, asked about how often I cleaned them, counted the animals in each cage to check stock density.
Then we went outside where he was most impressed with my aviary block and when I mentioned baby goats, his eyes lit up and he asked to see them.
I showed him the goat paddock which he said is fine and into the goatshed which he thought was fantastic and you should have seen his face when I told him I'd built it myself. He was impressed. He asked about feeding regime, milking, hoof care and where I put the litter when I mucked out. Then he went all gaga at my kids and all misty eyed at the mother hen who has hatched off 3 fluffy chicks in the goatshed.
We had a nice chat about goats. The vet who came is Portugese and his family have goats over there so he understood them and knew what they needed.
Then we went back to the house, via the male goats and chickens and guinea pigs and everything was duly inspected and given the seal of approval.
He said that in all he found my animals happy, well balanced and sociable with clean quarters, plenty of food and water available in clean containers. He said that my house was a lot cleaner than some he'd been in where the owner only had one dog or cat. I said it was because I spent most of my time cleaning and tidying. If I didn't, it would soon build up.
He will be doing me a written report.
The one comment he did make was that from the road, the front of the place is untidy as the grass hasn't been cut, the hedge needs trimming and there are piles of scrap wood near the path but he said that as the animals didn't come into contact with the wood and the lawn and hedge has no bearing on the animals, it shouldn't make any difference, and the look of the outside, has no bearing on how clean and neat it is inside.
So that's that.
I knew I was doing everything I ought and that my animals are given the best of everything, and now I'll have a bit of paper to say so just in case 'they' come back. I have been given so much stress needlessly because of the harrassment based on my disability, and the one thought on my mind was that if they took the animals, they would kill Kate, Dibs, Twinks and Chalky immediately on the basis of age or temperament. Kate is 15 after all. That's if the stress and fear didn't give the old ladies heart attacks before 'they' stuck the needle in.
I shall laminate the certificate and stick it in my front window.

Pleased it went well for you, but not at all surprised. How sad for you to have had that extra worry of what they'd do to your 'more mature' animals. Hopefully now you can relax and just enjoy them

No relaxing for me sadly. The fact that they lied and tried to entrap me means that they cannot be trusted an inch. Now, my home is like fort knox with a cctv upgrade, specialist lawyer on speed dial, vet ready to drop everything and come and son on notice to drive like a demon to be at mine in minutes to act as a witness.Next door neighbours have been briefed and are horrified and they too said to just yell if I need them.
No relaxing, just preparing to defend my animals and making sure some pretty influential people have been informed (journalist with a special interest) and about £5 millions worth of legal cover arranged to enable me to both defend and attack if I need to on a legal level.
I don't lie and I don't make things up. When I said they would find nothing, I meant it. And when I said I would sue them I meant that too.
So I won't be blase or relaxed about it ever again. :0(

How sad that some idiot can spoil things for you, and for what? What did they actually get out of it?

Anyway, you've no time to be on here nattering, I expect you've a barn to singlehandedly erect

So glad you've got the clear proof that your animals are not neglected and I know I for one never doubted it for one minute - your care of your animals is clear from your posts.

But it's still a shame you had to do it in the first place because of some mindless moron trying to cause trouble!

oh that reminds me. When I took the vet to the goats, I asked if he could see anything I could improve on. He looked around and said no and said that it was a really nice goat shed and asked how old it was. I said "I built it around this time last year". He looked a bit confused and said "You built?". I said that yes, I had built it. He looked puzzled, looked around the shed and asked again if I meant, me, myself had built it with my own hands. I said yes. He asked if someone helped me. I said no, I knew how I wanted it, so I designed it and built it myself with my hands and no help. I was rather flattered at the admiration in his eyes.Same as when I explained how I had renovated the cottage and installed the Rayburn myself

Pftt!! Easy peasy. I am an Englishwoman after all, and a 'Thompson' woman to boot. I can do anything.
I even thanked him for his time in Portugese which seemed to please him (Obrigado).
