Default OK to use aspen snake bedding for mummy and baby mice?

As some of you may be aware I have been blessed with baby mice, I was just cleaning up another old cage and I've run out of the compressed shavings stuff, is it ok to use aspen bedding as I have loads of that!
I was a bit worried it might be a bit rough for them?

Thanks!

Yup, will be fine, just give the mum some tissue to shred and nest the babies in though she might not bother.

I used aspen for awhile its great bedding but as stated above its a little sharp on the edges.

I used to crush it up a bit in my hand to soften it a bit.
