Hello again! Sorry to keep asking a million questions!
Carrying on from this thread: http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/other...baby-mice.html I could use some more advice. Ok so basically I had 2 female mice together in a little cage. It turns out that they were both pregnant, I have 10 babies at the moment and I'm sure one of the mice has given birth but I don't know if the other one is yet to go or the 10 are half hers? I want to take her out into another cage if shes yet to go (this is what Ive been advised to do) but I obviously don't want to take her away if some of the babies are hers! Shes pretty big but the same size as the one who has deffo had babies (who was humungus just before she had hers) and they both have the same nipples lol What should I do? Separate or keep em together? I was told it wouldn't be ok for them to stay together if they had separate litters at diffferent times. I just want whats best for the mummys and babies and have no clue what i'm doing! Thanks and sorry for the long post!

Surely if she hasn't had hers yet she won't be feeding the other mouses litter will she? I thought about just moving both mice and the babies into the bigger cage so they had some more space but I was worried about touching the babies.

They should be fine, just give them plenty of food and some food rich in protein to help produce milk.
Do you know when the mouse was expecting ? what date was it you put he rin with the male ? or are these rescued/shop bought with uknown breeding ? |
