Wag Hotels- Redefining dog and cat boarding, care & kennel Your pets are our guests. Our guests enjoy every moment of their stay with us. From comfortable rooms, to individual attention, to playing with other guests and making new friends, we care. Our extensively trained staff caters to our guests every need, and ensures their health and safety. Wag Hotels: Personalized care by trained professionals FAQs: 1. What makes Wag Hotels different from other boarding facilities? Wag was designed from the ground up, exclusively for dogs and cats. Our design and services are comparable to what you would expect and find in a premier hotel for yourself. 2. Is there only one location for Wag Hotels? We started with our first location in Sacramento. Expect additional locations in San Francisco in November 2006, Sunnyvale in the spring of 2007, and southern California locations in the fall of 2007. 3. How much does it cost to board my dog? The cost to board your dog(s) depends on room size, additional services and the length of stay. Please see our rates page for more information. 4. How far in advance do I have to make a reservation? In general, we recommend that all reservations be made 3 weeks in advance. For holidays, we recommend 8 weeks in advance to ensure availability. 5. How late are you open? We are open and staffed 24x7x365. Our normal hours of operation are 8 am – 6 pm. Appointments can be scheduled for service outside of our normal hours of operation. 6. What vaccinations will my pet need? All dogs need to be current on the rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP vaccinations. Feline guests need to be current on the rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. 7. Can you administer my pet’s medication while they are staying with you? As part of our Wag standard care package, almost all medication can be administered by our trained staff. 8. Do we have to bring our own bed? Wag provides bedding for all our guests. However, if you would like to bring your own bed, you are more than welcome to. 9. Can I bring my own dog food? Although we provide food in Wag’s standard care package, as a full service hotel we can feed your pet food from home at no extra charge. We also offer organic and wet food for an additional fee. 10. Can my cat and dog stay in a room together? We do not currently offer this service due to different air exchange safety and health requirements. 11. Can I stay in the luxury suite with my dog? Unfortunately, no. While our hotel is comfortable enough for human guests, it is exclusively for dogs and cats. 12. How many times a day does my dog get out? Does my dog get to play with other dogs? We offer two playgroups (of approx. 1 hour each) in our Wag standard care package. However, we also offer a menu of additional services. Please see the rates page for more information. 13. How do you determine which dogs will do well together in playgroup? Our playgroups are determined by a dog’s individual needs and personality. Most often the important factors are age, size, weight, temperament and play-style, which we assess through your pet’s profile and ongoing observation. 14. What if my dog doesn’t like other dogs? We find that most of our guests play with others, however if your dog shows unfriendly behavior towards other dogs, they will not be able to participate in playgroups. To accommodate these guests, we offer individual play for an additional fee. Please see Wag’s Specialized Care Program for more information. 15. Can I board my dog even if I don’t know how my dog will act around other dogs? As there are many factors that influence your dog’s behavior we suggest that you schedule a short visit to our facility so we can evaluate your dog’s temperament. As well, we continue to monitor your dog throughout their stay and make any necessary adjustments needed. 16. Can I bring my dog’s favorite toy for playgroup? You may bring your dog’s favorite toy although it must remain in his/her room, as we do not allow toys in playgroup. the mini-suite for instance, is 6x8, costs $52 a day, and includes premium beds, 2 feeds a day, playgroups and classical music. nice!
