We had this happen the other weekend, the outside temp was 21 degrees and we were sat in the local greasy spoon having brunch and a traffic warden came in asking if anyone owned a silver estate, parked in a disabled bay in the nearby car park, with 3 large GSD's in it. No-one owned up, so I told her to smash the window, she said she wasn't allowed and had to wait for the police to arrive. I offered to do it instead, said I didn't care. She left, still trying to find the owner.
The one of the waitresses went over to a table and told a bloke and his missus that a warden had just been in asking about a car with dogs in and that they were overheating. He got up and ambled off we watched him speak to the warden, open the boot and one dog jumped out, a large, black, longhaired GSD and you could see the other 2 stick their heads out and they were identical! He got the dog back in, fannied about for a bit then came back in, said to his missus that 'the windows could've been open a little bit more'. We were livid at his attitude and I think we made ourselves perfectly clear that some people shouldn't have animals and how we'd like to shut them up in a car in the heat with a big fur coat on... they soon left.
When will people learn???

voice your disgust here:
Nottinghamshire Police – Your views

if enough people do, they'll know that the population expects this to be punished, and publically. No hiding it away. The eyes of dog lovers all over the UK are upon them!

Oh, and be polite! No swearing, insults, rudeness or anything else, that will only have the opposite effect and make them think we are all scum. Simple make your feelings known but calmly.

Clearly a case of neglect.
But no one will be charged

God this is awful ! Then again there is lots goes on in the police force with dogs that never makes the news. There are alot that get beaten regularly. I remember hearing on the news when I was a kid how a buncg of police officers hung a GSD by it's neck and beat it to death ...

""""The maximum sentence for causing unnecessary suffering to an animal is six months in prison and a £20,000 fine"""""

Yeah like this will happen !

I was in court recently and a woman was done for causing unnecessary suffering ny leaving 2 GSD's home alone for 10 days without food and water and she didnt even get a suspended sentence and no fine !

Sick

What a terrible waste of life, and what a horrific end for those poor dogs
