Default Dog muzzle recommendations please

Still having big problems with Ninja our new rescue.

To start with we got a halti-type head collar to stop him pulling as he goes beserk trying to get close to any dog he sees when out walking. It did calm him, but he very soon realised that he could get it off with a bit of effort.

So now as soon as you put it on he just lies down, and would scratch his muzzle raw if you let him.

I've read that this sort of design isn't good for bull breeds because of the short nose, and that certainly seems to be the case (he's a staffie/collie cross but with a very staffie face).

It's now become more important that we muzzle him again though. His aggression is becoming a real issue with certain dogs and he is very unpredictable. Obviously we're working really hard on this but for safety reasons now I really think he needs to be muzzled when out in public. Does anyone have any recommendations as to the best muzzle for a staffie-type dog?

Thanks

i have an aggressive gsd which are alot more hard to handle going after another dog so can be quite hard if your not switched on so just have to have a firm hand on the lead. i have a classic type muzzle like the one i have listed below they are not as expensive but are the best type of muzzle you can buy.i would use that muzzle and keep a firm hand on him near others dogs dog aggessive is in a lot of staffs so they need to be socialized from young. you can buy them spary collars and spray them when they start but dogs such as stafs dont really give a crap if wanter is in there face but it's worth a go. you could try behavior classess or just stay away from other dogs
