KC reg issue for min pin!!

Recently i bought Roxy a 2 yr old Miniature Pinscher from a breeder in Brighton 3 weeks ago.
she had been sold to a couple that split and sent back to the breeder.

when my parents picked her up for me he handed over her KC change of reg form, but he hadnt signed it!

atm my pa cant get hold of him
i was going to send him the form to sign as well as another stamped envelope addressed to me.
i dont know if the address on the form is him or the other owners!?
my mother also think that he could keep the papers and claim we stole Roxy!!

what should i do? would the KC understand my situation?
its really playing on my nerves atm.

he gave you the papers...just squiggle on the dotted line and send them away!
sorry thats kind of fraud...but its happened to me and the breeder has told me just sign and send

KC registration documents are not proof of ownership anyway.

Just ring the KC and explain tot hem, they will probably write to the previous owner to check the situation and take it from there.

Call him up.. Let him know the situation and tell him you are calling the Kennel Club to tell them what has happened too.
To be quite honest, you should have a sales contract between yourself and the person who sold you the dog. Its proof that the dog belongs to you, and showing this to the KC will help your case.

I dont see what could go wrong with any of that.

Is there any way of getting hold of the guy who sold you the dog though?

well he isnt answering, but we will try. afterall he may just be busy or out when ringing him. i know im hardly in my house.

ill try and get hold of him today, if not KC 2morow
