Default My dogs have always been excellent, but...

My two dogs have always been excellent in the house (wee and poop wise) and haven't messed in the house in at least a year...

However, for the last 3/4 days both of them have each pooped in the house at least once a day. Its bizarre =/

I really can't think of a reason why? Any help would be good.

Have you changed their food or the time that you feed them?

Has anything changed - routine, left for longer, new carpet, noisy neighbours...?

When we're not in they have an outdoor kennel, nope, no new neighbors, routines perfectly normal..

The only thing I can think of is that I fronlined and drontaled them. But they get flead and wormed every 3 months anyway =\

Drontal is known to upset tummies. Having said that, if you keep them outdoors when you go out, it's highly possible they are just not 100% house trained. It's confusing for an indoor/outdoor dog - one minute they're not allowed to mess, the next it's ok to.

You'll just have to go back to basics, start letting them out at half hourly intervals, then increase the time until they're clean all the time. Might take a day or two, or a couple of weeks, depending on the dog, but they should pick it back up. You may want to reconsider keeping them outdoors when you're out though - if not for the house training side of things, considering the risk of dog thieves or them getting into trouble without supervision.

When are they messing in the house? Is it through the night or when they're on their own (I dont mean when you're out as you said they're outside then, I mean are they alone when they do it)?

Could be seperation anxiety if they do it when you're not around. If as you say the weim used to be naughty indoors when you were out too.

How much exercise do they get too? I probably dont need to tell you that weims are highly energetic and need a good couple of hours a day at least, and a job to do might help (when you're out that could be stuffed kongs, boredom buster kind of toys etc, when you're in - training, obedience, agility perhaps?).

Yep, they've started round here too, that could definitely be a potential cause if it's happening near you too.
