He's beautiful, here's wishing you many happy long rides together.

A for sweet itch, I don't have much experience I'm afraid, but there are a few all over rugs on the market, maybe selling off cheaper now its not 'in season'

More pics and stories to come I hope?!

He's a lot better than he used to be!!! All he really does now is pull faces when its feed time but im not too fused, i know a huge amount of adult horses that do that too.

He knows when he needs to behave, took him to the BEF futurity over at catherston stud to be graded and he was as good as gold!! even after we had to wait around for 2 hours because they were running late. Local shows however.... different story =p... used to be very fond of standing up on his back end..cheeky sod

Are you going to show him at all? Working hunter maybe? He's a gorgeous boy =]

I'm sure hes got a few surprises up his sleave.... he'll wait till you're completly smitten with him then see what he can get away with!!

hes lovely hun ! but depending on what condition his turn out is with him being out 24/7 he might benefit from no feather as you dont want to have to cope with mudfever as well as sweet itch

Did you find out what bit it is?? Tried my mare back in a pelham today as i was finding i had no brakes again when jumping her!!! Shes going really nicely at the moment so cant really complain!!

You can get some fairly cheap second hands bits...also keep an eye out for yard sales ( some liverys do sales with bits of old tack and rugs etc... really useful for picking up bargains.)

Is it tomorrow you're picking your boy up??

awwww why the hogged mane? I think it makes them look like chav kids with crewcuts. Is he a bit overweight? Lovely looking chap all the same and I'm not a particularly big fan of horses. If only I had more land I'd have another driving pony though.
