Smile Gambian Pouched Rat

I think I remember someone on here looking for a Gambian pouched rat a few weeks back. I just saw one on reptileclassifieds.co.uk if whoever it was was still looking, the ad was posted today, and they lil' guy comes with his own cage etc.

Hope that helps someone

We have two pairs of them here, hoping to have babies out of them before too long but we have got a short waiting list already. If anybody is interested get in touch and let us know.

Fixx, I've followed the link for herorat on your signature, maybe I'm missing something but don't the mine-finding rats die in the process? I would assume that if they find the mine, they will detonate it? Please do correct me if I'm wrong, but it struck me as odd since you're selling them for pets too...cheers.

No, the mine-sniffer rats are actually too light to set off the mines. They're trained to find the mines, scratch where they smell the explosive - this is then marked and the rat and handler move to canvass the next area of field.

Nope, they don't die, they are too light to set the mines off unlike people and minw-sniffing dogs.
