White is fine. Actually it might be a good colour to use because if you do get redmite in the shed, you'll be able to see them better on a white background. I know if I have them as I can smell them.

Why does it look silly? Looks ok in my sheds. You can get clear gloss. It's called 'varnish'. Trouble is it's more expensive than white gloss and you won't be able to see mites as easily.

I didn't know varnish was gloss lol I'd be able to see the dirt easier too :O.
Did I imagine it, or did they ban creosote?

yes creosote is banned. Didn't bother me cos I never used the nasty stuff in any case. It kills plants, burns skin on animals, causes cancer and poisons any animal which might ingest it. Not nice stuff at all really.

Sounds nice :/ Is there any good chicken forums I can join? Poultry chat and practical poultry forums, won't let me in cos I've got a free email account, I can't even make one cos virgin is acting up, as per ususal.
