Shhh I sent them an email, if I don't get a response in a few days I'll ring I've always had a weird thing for phoning people I don't know!

Plus it's 9.40 at night! They might be getting into their jammies...

I don't doubt it!

B-b-b-but I don't drink coffee (although the O/H would drink you to the floor on it) Although after a 3/4 hour drive I probably would need it!

I got my massive neutered hob boys from the rescue at Stilton.
Bruce and Elaine—Stilton, Peterborough (01733) 240957
but perhaps Julie at the Sleaford ferret rescue might be within your range too.

Found these in the East midlands-ish too

I've just got a 2 year old neutered gill from Alsager Ferret Rescue to go with my 2 neutered boys, Julie who runs the rescue is lovely and i know she has quite a few ferrets in who need good homes. If you want her number just let me know. Alsager is about 30 mins from Warrington.

Hi,

I am looking into ferrets and I also live in the East Midlands.
Have a look at the Ferret Hutch rescue in Sheffield. Go to their website Ferret hutch and they have a forum aswell.
People on there seem very informed and nice.

Def get a ferret from a rescue as they are packed wtih them. All the reading and research I have done suggests first time owners should get an older nip trained ferret, as a young ferret could be nippy and would need nip training and could put an inexperienced owner off.

Make sure you do your research housing and diet and they should live in pairs cause no one can love a ferret like another ferret- - unless it is a ferret who dislikes other ferrets.

I am going to go and see some ferrets and handle them as I have never handled a ferret, so need to be a sure it will the pet for me.

Good Luck
