Default Agilty

Does anyone else do this with their dog?

I have a mini course for the Doberman in the garden and he loves it.

Generally stick to tunnels, wing jumps and I have a tyre jump too. He can't get the hang of weave polls and is terrified of the seesaw.

If you have a dog and have never tried agility you really should, its great fun, is great obedience training and strengths the bond between you and your dog.

My Sister in Law does Agility with her Dogs. Her oldest male Jasper is now known as Jasper the eliminator as he always gets eliminated in competitions. The Dogs do enjoy it. When she first started up about 4 1/2 years ago i went along with her & asked about doing it with my Lurcher (who is Collie/Whippet, but more Collie than anything). Because she was about 8 1/2 at the time i was told she was too old . Well she was far fitter than my Sister in Laws Dog who is overweight yet she was allowed to continue even with an overweight unfit Dog. I think my Bitch would of enjoyed it but she was never allowed the chance to try it.

I have an agility set for Tai, the tunnel is by far her favourite! If the tunnel is out then it's difficult to get her to do anything else she just wants to run through the tunnel, and then when she's finished running through it she wants to relax in it! Bit wet and muddy though to put it out at the moment though!
