Default Our old boy Roger the african grey

Sadly passed away this weekend. He was in his mid to late 20s and seriously grumpy but the room is just so quiet without him. Pedro the macaw helps fill the silence but our other greys don't talk, so it's going to be a bit odd now.

I can't afford to replace him at the moment - and I don't really want to - but it's so odd in the room without him, we'd rehomed him about 6 years ago so hadn't had him long, but he's going to be sadly missed.

I think this is the worst thing about having lots of pets, you have to deal with so many losses.

Hi,

So sorry to read of your loss.
I do agree with you, no matter how many pets you have it still hurts...but the pain will heal and you will always carry your loving memories with you.

Jingle Bells

Sorry for your loss, it is hard losing a pet, I thought they were supposed to live till they were 50 or something.

you dont know how he was keeped before they got him, i had a cocketiel who died a few weeks after we got him when he was about 2 because the previous owners kept him in the kitchen and non-stick coating releases a chemical which is very harmful to birds.

sorry for your loss
