Unhappy dead gerbil

i bought 2 gerbils on friday from pets at home. they are only babies but one of them has just died. should i take it back?

you should have a slip they gave you which normally covers livestock for a week

yes i would call them tomorrow and see what they say

if they offer me another will it be easy to introduce it to the one i already have? i heard gerbils dont like being alone

and depending on the sex too as if you mix your sexes your going to end up with babies down the line lol

its the law, lifestock, like a jumper or a tv or any goods are covered for a week.

Indeed they are, Up to a week if something unexpected were to happen a to a pet bought from a pet shop legally the pet shop should offer a replacement for free or a full refund be given.

As for dealing with this via pets at home i advise to look the law up print it off or if your good enought quote the legislation when calling them/ visiting them to discuss the matter.

Our pets at home are pretty good

i got a hammy a few years back that had wet tail.............they took her back and treated her they gave me an option of another ham i said i would wait for mine to get better which she did and lived for 3 1/2 years

I also had 2 male rats die on me and they let me have 2 more

Is your remaining one male or female?

As a rule, females are harder to introduce to other females. If they don't like eachother on neutral territory then you may need to use the split cage method.

mine was happy alone for over 4 years just change its tank around every now and then stop it gettin bored.
