Pretty birds! Green-Cheeks are fab little characters.

I notice Suki is wing-clipped. How old is she?

From a cosmetic point of view I always leave the outer feather or two which gives the illusion of no clip .

From a practical point of view, often the smaller species don't really need it, and often can fly almost as well afterwards anyway!

Lovely birds by the way!

Why wing-clip a bird, especially a hand-reared one?

I wasn't attacking you hun, I was asking Suki's age as I didn't think she was an adult yet. If I had my way, wing-clipping would be made illegal, just like tail docking.

They are brill! My Sun Conure, Jaffa is such a sweetie! Noisy but sweet & if anything scares him or he is unsure of something, he will fly to my shoulder, bless him.
