Default Abysinnian mice?

I know a lot of fancy mouse breeders come on here, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knew of anyone breeding show type Abyssinian mice in the UK? ETA: Please excuse typo in title lol.

Thanks

Kathy

There are some in the country, but they won't be show quality I don't think they are accepted in the NMC.

Ahhh right. I do love the show type mice and that's what I'd want, shame the Abyssinians aren't that build. Thanks for the information.

Yeah I found him talking about them on a Google search so PMed him lol. Small world! I love Arthur, our cream show type buck off Mark, would love some big build show mice here as he has won me over (all previous pets have not been anywhere near as handleable as the ones we had off Mark).

Is it just a case of keeping outcrossing to good show type mice then inbreeding back for the Aby? Would love to learn more and would be interested in some in future too. Got your PM but thought I'd answer here as you've kindof got me here now lol.

Well so far ive just crossed the abs to get more abbs, Its harder than what i thought because the gene is recessive so only a small percent of the litter are coming out with points, i do have one baby who is like a astrex its rather cute and ill be hold that back to cross for more funky hair stlyes

But when i have more abs ill be crossing them out to PEW's and hopefully it wont screw them up.
