Default whats wrong with my kitty :(

Saskia has been crying alot today.... most of the time been happy as pie... making our other cat jump, diving off the washing machine etc... but earlier she kept crying and just now she just let out the most human like scream ever! :O

i picked her up thinking she had hurt her paw... there all normally white but have got a pinky look to them :/

then she just sat in my lap crying

Has she been squatting everywhere as if she needs to wee as she could have cystitis or if she free roams she could have had a knock by a car. Check to see if her claws are frayed as most RTA cats have them

Personally I would ring the vet and explain the symptoms to them and see what they say as it sounds as if shes in pain

Just checked her claws and they look normal

no shes not squatting or anything like that

her behaviour is totally normal.

she wouldnt have got hit by anything as its now impossible for her to get out of the back garden. plus i only let her in the garden when im in the kitchenso i can keep an eye on her because shes not been spayed yet

i cant work out whats wrong coz shes still charging around.

do you think she just could be coming into season??

I thought "in season" as soon as I read your post, but wasn't sure that she wasn't neutered. The fact that you've now asked the question confirms to me that she very probably is in season. If so, don't let her out into the garden at all, as there's every possibility the need to be mated will push her to escape!! Hopefully, you're absolutely certain that she hasn't already got out of the garden or been visited within the garden recently, as tom cats know queens are in season often long before we do!!!

I am very certain a cat has not visited her, like i said i only let her out when im in the kitchen as i can watch her the whole time.

i wont be letting her out at all now though as i dont want to take any chances.

would the season effect her behaviour towards our other female cat?

they keep belly flopping on each other...

Yes she will tread, roll and call, reverse up to people while crouching with her bum in the air and she will escape from the garden or you will have hoards of visiting tomcats.
