Get a deep bucket, put some bedding, food (extra smelly) and water in the bottom, and a ladder up to the top. the mouse goes up the ladder smelling the food and falls in

Default humane traps

are rubbish,I've had the small plastic ones and the expensive fancy metal ones and never caught any of the many escapees I've had.

I have them in my walls. I cannot seem to catch any with humane traps, I really don't want to resort to poisons + proper traps , but I'm so scared their going to chew through my wiring if I leave them to it (they're under the floorboards upstairs where all the electrics are!)... and to make it worse they're little field mice too

If you ever need to buy a humane trap, get the rat size one because that is what I use. (I have tried bucket methods but takes ages for me.) I got mine on ebay, but you have to tie the food with a string because it only works with weight. Mice are too light to move the rat trap door but the mouse trap is too small for them even they are small rodents. I caught so many mice (the usual female mice) and rats in the room with the rat trap. I even have it set up now, knowing there's none escapees.
