I'm pretty sure they're still illegal. The term "pit-bull type dog" is thrown around a lot.

Illegal. It's based off of what looks like a Pit Bull, not what IS a pit bull. A lot of staffs are getting taken away from their families as they are deemed of 'pit-bull type'.

Anything that is type (staffy, boxer, mastiff crosses) if authorities think there is the slightest chance a dog has even 1% pit blood, it can be destroyed. The thing is they don't have to prove it has pit blood to seize, you have to prove it doesn't. And yes technically they could say a lab looks pit type and have it destroyed .
