cuddling dogs ??

ok ive been talking to my sister about this and decided to just make a poll on here. basically i cuddle my dog every one who knows me knows that i do and doesnt have a problem with it but one of my sisters does. she says it is wrong and weird.

i really cant see how this can be wrong. when she was a pup my sister used to cuddle her and pretty much everyone cuddles puppys so how can age make a differance ?

also cuddle together naturaly so in captivity (were the humans in the household are the pack) how can this be wrong.

my dog enjoys being cuddled and most of the time she will come to me and snuggled up to me (in fact shes resting on my knees now).
after being at work it is really nice to give her a hug a let her know that i still love her lol.
(plus shes soo cuddly)

so please share you thoughts and opinions

sounds perfectly normal to me! whenever i go round to my mates house i always get greeted by his 2x female GSD's - who thankfully know who i am so i can walk in without getting mauled!! but i always fuss them, they give ya kisses, n if i stay over, i tend to wake up with the pair of them lying on top of me or play fighting for who gets closest to my hands!!

I give Blu a hug now and again, but he's not a lap dog (because he's a dane) although he does try to sit on my knee...

Sky (my now RIP lurcher) was a real cuddle monster though, she'd sit in your lap and curl up (all 28kg of her).

I do miss that a lot, I cant snuggle up with Blu as he cant get on the sofa, and I cant get onto the floor.

As for your sis, she obviously doesn't "get" dogs, perhaps she's just not a dog fan.

I'm always cuddling my dogs, both love cuddles and will happily spend all day if they could cuddling. Millie even cuddles me in bed (If I lay on my side with my back to her she puts her leg round me)
I think one of the main reasons why my dogs are as soppy, soft and daft as they are, is because I have always shown them lots of love with plenty of cuddles.

i cuddle all 3 of mine .........in fact all wednesday night was spent on the sofa cuddling my poorly spanielx ............if i sat on the floor i would be bundled by all 3 ...........your sister is the odd one

What a wierd question. Surely everyone cuddles their dogs, that is why you have them, to shower them with love and affection to be returned one thousand fold by your pet..............why on earth would someone want a dog to sarve it of affection, beyond me.
