For any who i bought or rehomed rats off!!

To make it quite clear and few month ago i had to rehome some rats as i was unable to care for them properly after an unexpected litter.

The 4 rats i bought from you i still have two left The Silver Fawn hooded and the Russian blue, I cannot remember if i contacted you or if i didnt to which im sorry if i didnt but Mortisha the hairless passed away throught the night a few months back and Amber the brown hooded one i got along with the RB at Sowood mouse show sadly died to what i think was the SADV???? ( sorry forgot whats it called.

The pregnant female i got from you was rehomed with the females in her litter.

The reason for this thread is because something as just arose that some of you have been contacting the person i rehomed a large number of my rats too asking where your rats were. I wont say where they are unless this person would liek to make it known themselves.

aw lovy something I have learnt is not everyone is going to agree and not everyone can be plesant either but we all have one thing in common and that is the love of our pets.Dont let anyone bug you, as long as YOU know that your doing the best for your pets, in my eyes thats what matters. How can anyone judge you that doesnt know you and cant see the situation?So big smile and go snuggle the rats

If any of the breeders concerned wish to chat with me privately about where their rats went, then please feel free. I absolutely refuse to lower myself when I took very good care of Mark's rats discreetly for him because he didn't want to home them on here. Witch hunt? I would laugh if it wasn't so hurtful and cheeky considering what my family did - this thread has only come about because after claiming poverty he asked me for mice and I had to say no.

Please be assured that I asked Mark to contact you all before I took rats off him and rehomed them for him, and he promised he would.

It was being discussed privately in PM before Mark had a paddy on here. However, I think now he's accusing people of lying and witch hunting, he ought to be very careful that he can back up any statements he makes, especially when it seems he has not told the same story to each person involved. Remember, this wasn't a sale, I didn't ask for his rats, I gave him help when he asked for it. It is very hurtful to come on here and see him spouting off that it was done for any reason other than to help the rats. I paid for travel, vet care, food and all other usual expenses that you do when you take on the responsibility. I didn't charge any rehoming fees, I'm embarrassed to say I never do with rehomes/rescues. All were homed with checks that were also at our expense. To come here and read this is like a slap in the face, I doubt I'll ever rescue again after the experience we've had this time.

Maybe he put it here in the wrong way and shouldnt have. He is just ensuring the previous owners know.
he is accusing you of lying and you are accusing him of not caring for the rats properly.......
Honestly why does it matter? The owners gave up their rats to him, they are not theirs any longer so he can sell/rehome if he wishes right???

Maybe dont get p*ssed with each other but put yourself in the other position and see how the other is feeling by what is said/writing/done etc.

Lots of breeders sell on contract now asking owners to inform them should they wish to rehome, so they have the opportunity to take them back. They're not very enforcable, but it's still polite. That is why I asked Mark to contact the breeders before giving me the does, which he said he would do (and I have to take his word on that). Given I don't know who came from who other than the babies, I just wanted to reassure any breeders involved that when I rescue/rehome I always ask the owner to contact the breeders first. That way people aren't worried about the whereabouts of their rats.
