One for the breeders/Showers...
When registering a Dogs hip/elbow score with the KC, is it merely telling them what the scores are, or does the owner of the Dog have to send proof of health testing to the KC?

The KC get the results direct from the BVA along with our Vets the breeders are the last to know their dogs results and pay a lot of money for the priviledge.
When I do my guys I go check online at the KC website as I'll have the results quicker than waiting for my vet to contact me with them. Same with eye testing althought as an owner you get a certificate from the vet at the time of testing BUT if your breed isn't listed as part of the scheme your results won't be listed on the KC website for some reason. I have put my thoughts and experiences of forgery allegations I've had from some puppy enquiries to the KC with a view to getting all our results listed online for prospective buyers to check out. |
