Hii,
My chorkie (yorkie x chihuahua) isn't liking this toilet training.
I've tried Puppy mats and she goes on 2 walks a day. Any tips. I'm desperate!!!!! Sometimes she'll go on a walk, come back in and wee on the carpet it's discusting!
Thanks x

How old is she? Puppies need taking out after they have been fed, when they wake, when they sniff, when they circle, when they cry. The more you take them out in the garden the more likely they are to toilet outside and the more you praise them for going the more likely it is they will learn to be clean(dont forget to ignore any accidents)

Whilst getting our patterdale terrier 'clean' we were advised to place her in the garden every 20 minutes to half hour, (boring I know) but well worth it. Any business she did, she got highly praised for.

Of course there were many accidents, after a while the penny dropped and she realised this was the behaviour we wanted!!

Some dogs just get it quicker than others, same as children and potty training etc.

Good luck.

You arent taking her out enough, you need to go back to the start of toilet training and get her to go in the garden(give her a command such as Wee wees), when she does go get all excited and praise her. Mine all go on command

Because you keep saying it, then when she goes you praise her, she will eventually realise that what you are saying means she goes to the toilet and gets praised(some people say Busy, it doesnt have to be wee wees, thats just what I use)

It can be done in a short time with an older pup but its all down to you and how much effort you put in. When she understands she will tell you when she wants to go

We used the word we wee's, it worked. Along with many many hours stood at the back door !

She's 5 now and we only have to say "Do you wanna go to wee wee's" and she's straight at the back door ready to go!

It works, you just have to persevere .
