Default New Ferret

Well I picked up this little cute thing from lekkie.

Cute it is apart from that its an evil smelly little thing and wont think twice about taking me on.

Today it snook upon me whilst I was typing away on my comp and bit me on my foot as I was unaware the wife had let her out (I become oblivious to my surroundings when on the comp) so it caught me by surprise the little bugger, not to mention me jumping out my chair and taking a catching my knee cap. The little thing just looked at me and jumped up a few times as though it wanted more chunks of me.

When I see her like this though all is forgiven.

That little hell spawn has taken chunks out of me too. She is lovely though, shame Lekkie had to let her go

The wife loves her and her naughty character. Looking at the silvers temperaments whilst at lekkies though, I just hope she turns out like them.

hi, can i ask, ive heard u cn get the "stink glands" removed, i just wondered how much it is and is it dangerous for them?
He looks lovely by the way, my dad used to breed and work them when i was little, to train the babies, hed put his fingers in freshly killed rabbits blood and let the little ones dangle off his fingers to get the taste .
cheers,
mark.

I think its best for them to live in pairs and this one soon will be, once I have found another female, possibly a silver or something but I am not into the albinos and thats all I have found locally.

There's an old guy up by Lark hill (about 2 miles past the peugeot garage in Durrington/Dunnington) that used to breed loads of ferrets. He had about 30 of the little beggars in various aviary style housing. He definately had silvers.
