What colours are mum and dad?

The two with white face markings look a bit like they might turn out to be huskies. The two brownish ones could possibly be agouti or chocolate or mink.

mum was black hooded or very dark brown hooded (from nerys) and dad was a siamese..
The mothers sister is a gray husky...
the lighter babies look more gray or very light brown in real life.. we had a litter of brown hooded and all brown baby rats from the same father though but they were darker than these.. :/

Then they're PROBABLY "mink" babies... especially if Dad's possibly a Mink Point Siamese himself.

ok.. i just had a browse (tried to take pics of the males but they dont come out very well) they do indeed look like mink point siamese though wierd thing is.. the mothers had siamese babies and black hooded babies before when bred to a husky male.. and now they are bred to a siamese male we are getting husky babies and what looks like mink and all black but dosnt look like there are any siamese! wish i could work out the genetics..lol..

Just bad luck. Obviously the girls are het for the himalayan gene (and he's homozygous) but you haven't hit the 50% odds. Either that... or you've got yourself some Burmese (coloured colourpoints) in there that you don't know about

yeh, i just drew up a family tree and plotted some of the genetics out.. i know their father was a siamese which explains the fact they are het himalayan..

so, from what we have got so far (or what i think this litter is ) we can assume she is...
black hooded het himalayan, mink and husky

this is even more fun that corn snake genetics! lol
next time i will breed her to OUR gray husky and see what comes out.. her first litter was with a gray husky that wasnt ours.. the other mother is a gray husky but they are both sisters so their ofspring always seem to be the same if they are bred to the same male.. im hopeing to hit the magic match and get some blue point siamese or burmese or something else cool

Cheers,
Owen
