Default African Pygmy Doormice what home you use

hi i got some African Pygmy Doormice but they keep get out of the jenny cage well the big 2 dont but the other 3 do

Due to their small size I believe most people keep them in a tall exoterra or an arboreal viv

oh neil, they are tiny so best off in a glass tank, we have ours in a perfecto with lots of climbing branches and hidey holes, e.g. coconuts stuffed with hay

you have dormice in a cage with bars??
have you looked at any care sheets prior to gettin them? as most will advise on housing, and something with bars certainly isnt on the recommendation list! might as well let um free roam and hope for the best

They don't keep AFRICAN PYGMY dormice in a bird cage. They keep the larger UK species in a bird cage.

also the problem with a barred cage is the heat loss, if the temps get to low it will force a hybernation.
