Default RIP Chevey, you had a fab life! thats the most important thing

My gorgeous Doberman Chevey passed away last night after suffering for a few days! Although we were told he would be recovering he finally gave up!
It was for the best as it was breaking my heart to see him. now he can join his best friend Angel. She was always his guardian in life once we rescued him.
He was in hell of a state when we took him
Once belonging to a young couple with a child with disabilities, Chevey became a problem so they gave him to the local scrap yard.
Since Chevey looked scary he was the compleat opposite and the owner used to close car doors on his head to make him angry and attack trespassers...although it never worked, but caused serious damage to his brain!!
At this time a was still at school, a friend had been caring for him everyday, feeding him ect. He wandered the local area while being attacked by the scap yard owner and his other dogs. He had been hit by cars a number of times, when eventually we took him, to live with our other Doberman. We have had him since he was around 3 years of age.
Who could hurt such a sweet dog....it makes me sick!

Although he did have mental injuries he lived to a fantastic age of 12, he quickly gained weight and had a loving family care, treat and play with him. After washing all the oil out of his fur he was Stunning!!
Sadly his best friend Angel passed away 2 years ago at the age of 12. He was heart broken and howled for weeks. She would sort of show him the ropes and comfort him when he got distressed (due to his injuries)
Now he can join her where she can now look after him once again.

I am more happy now that he is back with her rather than being alone and suffering. They both had happy lives and thats what keeps me smiling.

Miss you both

sorry for your loss
i know what it's like to lose a family pet.
we had a german shephard from a family that were out of room for him they said.
We took him from them when he was about 5 or 6 years old.
It was for my 10th birthday and we had him for almost 6 years.
We had to put him down too because he developed the hind leg problem that so many other german shephards get.
He recieved lots of love from my parents, and me in particular, and i'd say he lived a good life.

RIP chevey
