Default RIP Tiddles - A beautiful rat

About ten months back we bought a pair of rats from the pet shop. They were white males with long blakc/grey patches down their backs. The darkest was Tiddles and the lightest was TumTum. They loved eachother and we love them, they were so funny together. The comedics they used to get up to. As they got older, although they used to fight, they still were best friends. And then Tiddles got an abcess. His cheek swelled up and eventually the lump popped. We took him to the vets but there was nothing they could do. They took him to be put down as he gnawed on a chocolate drop. His favourite treat would be his last meal. He was buried the next day and it was very sad. TumTum wouldn't eat or anything so we bought him a new cage and a new friend. But he didn't want a new friend, he wanted his brother. So he beat up the new rat and we had to give him away, leaving Tum on his own still. Tum has recovered in the month since Baby Tid died, but he still has a place in our hearts.

Beautiful photos of a beautiful rat .

That's the problem with buying pets, they all shuffle off the mortal coil one day.

It wasn't a very nice way to go. His jaw bone was visible and everything .
