Boa Constrictor (Heathrow, Middlesex)
Common Boa for rehoming, £15 to cover the rats/heating.
(I know I keep saying 'he', it's unsexed but I feel bad saying 'it'. I'm happy to probe it if someone is ok to hold the bitey end!)
This snake was brought into us by two lads (big thanks to the non-snake lovers that braved this one to help him out!) whos ex-housemate had recently moved out. They realised a few days after he'd gone that he'd left his snake in the top shelf of the wardrobe that had been converted into a viv. About 3' x 18" x 12" in total - he'd been left with a bowl of water a bowl of defrosted chicken thighs (like you buy in Tesco). All other belongings had gone - he wasn't coming back for this one.
The snake is about 6' long, very slender. Not skinny but I'd say it hadn't eaten in a very long while, he's happily eating med/lg rats with us.
He also has very little muscle tone, and is (at least on short-term impressions) aggressive. He strikes at the glass when the lock is taken off the viv, but calms down if you don't do any more, may be ok in time with confidence.
Let me know if you think you can help us out on this one!
