Default Old male boa looking for forever home.

Adult male boa to go to a forever home.

Age unknown, but getting on a bit. The vet put him a 15+ years when we took him for a check over when we first got him. He's quiet diddy and comes in at about 5.5 feet and slender. He has a damaged face, and various bumps, dents and old injuries down his body. whatever caused this I have no idea, we was told when we bought him that is was down to nose rubbing but I think not .... Because of the damage to his jaw and nose his mouth doesn't quiet close properly - he had the visit to the vet, but he got the all clear, and in the 2.5 years we've had him it's never hindered him. We did name him chunk - from the goonies because of his.... good looks

He's a hit and miss feeder, some months he'll strike feed as if there isn't any tomorrow, some he'll leave feed and eat when he's absolutely sure no one is watching and others he won't feed for months on end. He has gone on many hunger strikes and has lost some weight while on one, but eventually just feeds again. We tend to offer, leave for a few hours and if still there, remove and try again 2/3 weeks later.

He was up until a few weeks ago tame as anything, infact I had always assumed he was too old and had quiet a few of his teeth missing due to the damage on his jaw, but after he decided to get ahold of me that was proved wrong He has since been very well behaved, but I would say experienced homes only please, because at the end of the day he is still a large snake with alot of power behind him (so much more than I ever gave him credit for) who has got previous lol.

We're looking for a home where he can live out his life for how ever long that may be. He has bred before and fathered some absolutely stunning babies and is a natural with the lady snakes, and I think he'd carry on doing what he loves until his days are up .
He does have such a cheeky little character about him, he's old, set in his ways, doesn't move much (he lives on his shelf in his viv, head down to drink, bum down to empty and never moves off it) he will go limp to get you to stop holding him (It's completely fine, he'll hold on if he thinks he's going to fall, just his way of being a pain and starts behaving like a proper snake when he realizes your not going to put him back lol).

Please message me if you think you can give this lad a good home.

What a lovely description of this old chap. I would take him if I had the room.... but free bump anyway. I wish him all the best in finding a new home.

I'm going to bump this one back up now, he's still here as I had enough of the numpty messages when I first advertised him so gave up... PLEASE DO NOT message me if... :
your selling boas in the classifieds as they take up too much room... It's not like I won't see it..
You've got a wanted add up for a boa for breeding loan, I want my snake to have a forever home not just until he gets your probably under age, under weight boa up the duff for you to then sell..
And if your corn snake makes you weary when it hisses at you... this isn't the snake for you.. this one has more teeth and bigger ones at that!
I WILL look through your previous posts to see if you are a good enough home for my boy.

Rant over... so who wants to take this one in as a forever home for me?
