Exclamation FREE 4yr old RES and Yellow Bellied Slider to a good home

I have just bought a 2nd hand 200l fish tank but unfortunately i aquired 2 x RES turtles with the purchase. I only aquired them though because i did not trust him to rehome the turtles properly. Otherwise they would have been kept in a small plastic box. No lifestyle at all for any living creature.

They are full of character, healthy and on average are 8 inchs long by 4 inch wide. They are both roughly 4 years old. They have grown up together and i am only willing to rehome them as a pair.

I can rehome them temporarily but i need them rehoming really ASAP. And on that note, ...only to people who can prove they can provide an adequate caring environment for them.

Please,.. if you are interested or want more info please get in touch. Feel free to ring me on 07841616709 if youre interested.

Please help.

If you can only just advise me of somewhere that rescues turtles etc.... it would be very much appreciated!

Please dont 'flame' me if i have broken forum policy or if i am doing something wrong. I am just trying to rescue and rehome to funny and character full RES Turtles.

How many RFUKer's does it take to answer a question?

1 to answer it, the rest of them to mock you, call you stupid, prove they're better than you and generally take the piss.

If anybody else could help then please please please do!

I only have these two turtles because if i never took them in with the fish tank i bought (which they have grown up in) they probably would have spent the rest of lives in a 30" x 10" box. Either that or they would have been set free and god knows what would have happened to them both.

I bought the tank for my own two musk turtles but i cant even use the tank for them. I feel conned with the purchase of the tank but both my fiancee and myself are 'animal lovers' and our consciousness could not see any harm or potential uncertainty come to the turtles.

I really dont have the space for these turtles, nor the finances. But im trying my best.

PLEASE PLEASE Please Help!!!!

Thankyou,

Steve

Hi Steve

My girlfriend has a couple of maps and a yellow slider, so we have experience in keeping turts. Unfortunatly we are in the middle of moving house and probably wont be in the new place before christmas. I do have plans to build a turtle pond out in the garden and have been looking into getting a few turtles myself. We will have a spare 3ft tank (the beardies temp home at the mo) as soon as i've finished his new viv.

So now isnt the right time to be taking in anything new but if in a couple of months you still havent managed to re home pm me. I'll be in a much better position to take them off your hands.

Thanks Mark
