I have a Bosc Monitor. I dont know what the age is but its around 40cm long.
It has wonderful Markings and is very healthy.
I picked it up from a friend who needed to get rid of it or she would have been evicted. Because of this she was prepared to get rid of it without to much worry of where he was going.
For this reason I have homed him for the moment and am looking for a suitable home for it.
These lizards are
NOT for beginners in my oppinion.
Athough I have handled it, it needs further taming as it appears to be fiesty.
They do grow very big around 4-5 feet long and require a very large enclosure. When adult I would suggest a 6L x 3D x 3H being a minimum.
At the moment it is being fed on roaches and small rodents.
I would prefer someone who keeps monitors already to have him or at least has experience in them.
He is feeding fine and is in perfect health.
I am in no rush to get rid so will keep it for as long is needed to find a suitable home.
Without sounding a arse I will want to know that whoever he goes to has experience in these reptiles and some kind of proof that they can provide for it.
As ive said it is a lovely looking lizard and I wish I had the space to keep it, but my room cannot hold any more reptiles LOL
These are two pics I've taken.
Collection only and he comes with no viv.
