Default WANTED: A list of good reptile shops in the Yorkshire area

I know of a few that I've been to myself -

Snakes 'n' Adders in Leeds being the best of them that I've been to
Aquatica in Wakefield (though I did get a pair of 'female' leos from them that two for two turned out male)
Transcontinental Goldfish Company in Huddersfield (only a few reptiles - including some of my '06 babies)
Fang-Tastic Reptiles in Selby (Nice stocklist online, and frequently updated)
The Snake Shop in Sheffield (but their website's dropped off the internet, and I want to see a stock sheet before I make the trip!)

I also got a set of custom vivariums ordered from Keighley Reptiles, though I've never been to the shop itself.

Are there any others that you've been to personally? Anything particularly good about them? I won't ask you to say if there's anything bad - and if it's a particularly bad shop, just don't mention it at all - I'd hate to get the nice people who run the forum shouted at.

And if a shop has a website with a fairly current stocklist, please please please tell me! I'm looking for a few things, and if I know that your shop's got what I'm looking for, I'm a lot more likely to go (and maybe buy something totally different while I'm there!)

The Snake Shop is one of the best reptile shops I've ever been to, but it depends what reps your looking for, as John only sells reptiles that he knows will sell, so corns, royals, leopard geckos, fat-tails, sometimes cresties, beardies. I.e. your common 'pet' reptiles.

The reptile department in The mill garden centre is ok. It's in chesterfield.

Got all your usual suspects and some slighly more unusual animals too. Excellent selection of hatchling snakes not too many inverts/spiders etc

No website that i know of.

I'll keep that in mind Nice stock sheet on the site, by the way - are the individual lizard/snake pages up to date?

However, can I just say one thing? The text that chases my cursor around on your site drives me BONKERS.

It's just so distracting!

I AM really tempted by the side-blotched lizards, though... I grew up catching those during school lunchtimes (the best way to catch them is to noose them, then let them bite your hand - that gives you a chance to get the noose away and hold them). I find that the longer I live over here, the more I miss the reptiles I grew up around.

My goodness, it's a bit difficult to get further from Yorkshire than Portsmouth/Bournemouth and still be in the same country

Southcoast has a nice stock sheet, though, and I suppose they do courier... but then again, I don't know if my "Oop North" pockets can pay "Dahn Sahf" prices
