Ther eis really no such thing as a "cheap" iguana - with the housing requirements, electric and food costs as well as the time and effort needed I reckon finding a cheap iguana is going ot be a right long shot!

Iggies are cheap to buy but i suggest you think long and hard about it

why does everybody always assume someone hasnt thought long and hard about it before asking if anyones selling one? i'd be pretty offended if i asked a question and got a lecture about it before anyone even knew whether i'd researched or what other reptiles i had experience in...

Ive only been open a week but have spoke to loads of people that have had to get rid of them eventually

And loads wanting them,you tell them how big they grow and they just dont seem concerned

Its rather different i can imagine when you have a 6 foot guest in the spare room

I would rather you got offended with me and told me so than going into it blind and me having to go out and rescue it from the local country side or have it brough round by the RSPCA.

All due to the guy, he may well have looked into it, if not, maybe my comment made him stop and think.

Iggies are one of those few reptiles that are appealing to new keepers and miss sold by many. they grow huge and become unmanageable by many people.

I do not pass judgement until i get the iggy on my door step, which happened no less than NINE times last year.

And i think i would rarther assume someone has NOT looked into something, than assume they HAVE, and then they get into a panic.

I was actually referring to the "not too expensive" bit myself. I find it astounding why anyone would want a cheap iguana when, in all honesty, there is no such thing

true,ig and cheap do not go together,£30 for my ig,£350 for viv,and £500 vet bills when she hurt herself,but would not be without her
