Default looking for info on regulations regarding reptile couriers ?

Does anyone have any info on the regulations spefied by defra with regard to length of journey time / conditions / etc that apply to licensed couriers. What does a type 2 defra licence cover ? Just thought i would see if anyone knew as obviously cannot contact defra until monday.

All information is on the DEFRA site.
You just have to look for it.

How long are you expecting to be on the road?

Most places in the UK are with in 8 hours or it wouldn't be worth doing the delivery.

I wanted to know if there was a maximum time reptiles should be transported as the courier i used had my snake on vehicle for 42 hours !! which i thought was wrong. The main thing is she is here now and seems okay i just wondered what the regs were with regard to safe maximum time limits. Thanks for your help anyway.

Snakes that are imported from over seas can be in transit for a lot longer.
Providing suitable conditions regarding the animals welfare are made I see no problem.

Did you have a problem with the courier?
