Default SWAnimalCouriers Membership

Hi All,

This is aimed at my more regular customers, Breeders, Shops, Trusts & Charities.

I am setting up a membership scheme to hopefully make booking a courier easier for people that reguarly use me & the services on offer.

The membership has no monetory value at all. What I would like to do is offer people the chance to register their details with me and once all the details are registered you will be issued with a SWAnimalCouriers membership number (these will be starting from the number 1 not some random number in the thousands to make me look busy!). You can then post this with any adverts with animals for sale ( IE SWAnimalsCouriers membership # 12).

The idea is then potential buyers can contact me directly with their own details and your membership number and details of the animal and I can then quote them directly with prices and dates. To save the seller being inundated with requests for courier prices and requests for their address to arrange a courier.

Once I have liased with the buyer and given dates and prices I will then ask the buyer to complete the deal with the seller and once that is done the seller can give the buyer a password which will be set by you at the time of setting the account up.

Once I have the confirmation from the buyer that the deal is done and they have given me the password I can book it in.

The idea of this is to cut down the passing of messages between 3 parties and waiting for replys etc.

I often get enquires from people looking to buy paticular species of animals. If this may apply to you do you give authorisation for your details to be passed on to private owners/collectors who maybe interested in your service* : Y/N

Your details will be used and kept by SWAnimalCouriers and will not be passed to ANY other company/person, in connection with the business or otherwise, with exception of members of the public that are looking for the particular animal that you may specialise in with your prior autorisation (see above) (unless I have a legal obligation to pass your details on).

Your details will not be kept at my home address as this is widely distributed as required by the reguations with transporting animals (my trading address is on transport docs handed to customers on delivery of animals). However, they will be stored on paper at a private address of a close family member. They will be electrocially stored on my Laptop and Mobile phone. Both of which have high level of security and only I will have access to them. Password protection will applied to all details.

Just had 2 cresties arrived by steve at SWAC and i can honestly say what a service! Cheap! Reliable! Quick! Wow im not going back to anyone else!

Cresties arrived bright eyed and bushey tailed, watered and fed.

I tried to send you a PM regarding Sunday, the pick up and delivery of a corn snake.
It said that you have stopped me sending you PM, is there a reason for this?

Hi Abbie,

Since we last spoke via PM I have disabled PM's from everyone. It is not just you that can no longer send PM's.

At the start of August I moved house and I did my best to let everyone in several threads and via my signature that I would not be accepting PM's during this time. However, this will now continue in definatly.

The reason for this is that I can respond to calls, texts and Emails throughout the day and whilst at work. PM's I cannot. As the services on offer have become more popular my PM box was becoming harder to manage and often resulted in me returning from work with 15+ PM's (upto 40 after a weekend run).

I made the descion to stop using the PM service on RFUK :

  • To be able to reply to messages via my phone and email a lot quicker
  • to prevent build up of PM's on RFUK
  • to stop the need for me to have to work for an additional 2-4 hours after work each day
  • and this all helps to continue providing the service I have been previously and to keeps the costs as low as possible
I hope that all makes sense.

Could you maybe send me your mobile number through e-mail?
I've sent you an e-mail regarding the membership which has been send through my e-mail address so you can use that if you don't feel comfortable leaving your mobile number on this thread.

hi there, i'm just wondering, id like to be a member, as in the coming years i am going to begin breeding, and id like to join early. would this be a problem?

Hi Ashbosh!

Again, sorry about the delay!

Join as early as you want. The membership is not just limited to breeders or commercial clients.

Anyone can join if they would like to!

I will get some more details posted in the next couple of days for people to link their customers to!
