Naturally they eat a lot of dry grass (hay), we mix some fresh veg in there too as well as Nutrobal.
Nice tortoises

No vegetables or friut for a leopard tort

grasses, hay , weeds only - lettuces and cucumber can be given but have no nutritional value

Default fruit a no no for leopards

Leopards digestive system cant really cope with the sugars that are in fruit, saying that, there are traces of sugars in all vegetables but obviously nothing like fruit. Like Eviemay said, a more natural diet is best where possible. Hay should make up a fair bit of their diet, if they will eat it, 2 of mine wont, fussy buggers, cut grass is always an option as well. Feeding too many green vegetables which are high in oxalates "sorry if spelt it wrong" can seriously do harm. Have a peek at the sticky about weeds......

hay, alfalfa, weeds out of the garden like clover, dandelions, some herbs added in and grass.
Thats what my boy gets with cucumber as a REALLY occasional treat.

70% grass
30% weeds

Leopards MUST have an outside area to graze their own food

Would this be the same for sulcatas?, considering they're both african species.
