Question leopard tortoises Information

Hi we are getting the above as a juvenile. What I would like to know is.

What do I need as it will be housed inside, things like heat and basking, food, substrate, etc.

If you could give me clear advice or where I can get the information as to what I need to buy that would be great.

Many thanks.

I would have thought as you are getting one, you should know most of this already.
You'll need a tortoise table with appropriate lights/heat, available from your local reptile shop (possibly a misnomer as it may not be that local) and a lot of grass! Outside area needed when its larger.

Hi my Leopard 'Tiger' is housed in a table 4x2 at the min, sand/soil mix with a 10.0 uvb tube and basking spot heat of 35 degree max. He has a bed box with has burgess grass inside which he loves to bury himself in at all times of the day and all night. A large waterdish which he can comfortably sit in and soak aswell as drink, (cleaned daily). His diet is mainly grasses and weeds. Sprinkled with a calcium supplement. His lights are on from 7am and off at 8pm. He puts on roughly about 12grms a month as they are a large species. Very shy and stays in bed most of the day but does comes out to play. Plenty of fresh grass to graze when hes in the garden on sunny days. Dont let him get to cold when their outside.
