They look small for 2 and half years old??

No I took them april last year.Im also not sure on the age.I have had them for a year and a half but they were fairly small when they came to me.

I thought small for 2.5 yrs. How muc do they weight and whats the SCL. May help people.

Wee update.Checked my paperwork and I actually bought these guys in September 07 and they were only a few weeks old so they are more about 1 and a half.They are weighing in just short of 500g and are 125mm from front to back.Also these were sold to me as cherryhead redfoots but I am not actually sure that such a thing exists.Hope this helps.

where about in SCOTLAND are you?

are these alright for starter tortoises?

I am based near Stirling.It depends what you mean by starter tortoise.All tortoise have specialist care requirements.I keep these in a 5x2x2 vivarium.The substrate is a mix of forest compost with orchid bark to keep up humidity.They have a large water area as they like to soak.This should be changed daily.The other end of the viv has a basking spot(infrared lamp)and the whole viv is lit by a UV 5 flourescent tube.Hope this helps.You can find more info on the net.

Do you know the genders of them?

No they are too small to tell they need to be a few years old before they can be sexed accuratley,although two of them are bigger than the third.
