Any species of tortoise wanted

hi everyone iam in need of a tortoise for my kids to enjoy even though it will be looked after by myself,my 3 boys have done nothing but pester for a tortoise they already have 4 beardies an 3 geckos an 1 oscilated skink,an after 10 months of having these have not got bored of them an still always hold them.
i have been keeping reptiles for 19 nearly 20 yrs myself an now my boys are following in my footsteps.

SO PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP IT WOULD BE VERY APPRECCIATED AN THE TORTOISE WOULD BE IN A VERY GOOD HOME.

1 DOG
3 CHIMPS (MY KIDS)

You'll have to narrow the field a bit re species! Theres a very basic split between tropical and meditteranean. Meditteranean are the more common 'UK garden tortoise'. Can live in the garden a lot and hibernate. Tropicals are the type that don't hibernate and need indoor heated accomodation all year. You'll need to decide a few basics such as what size enclosure you can have, in the garden? in the house? and what size adult tort you can accomodate. Some torts dig, others don't. I'd suggest going to the shelled section (its not that scary) to see if you can get pointers to the best species for you, then post a new wanted thread.
