Another rare species in the UK! Someone was advertising 3 Toed Boxies on here a while back, and I'm sure I saw some young ones advertised elsewhere recently but can't think where.

If you really want something rare you're probably going to have to go out of your way to get it, there are very few breeders of aquatic chelonia in the UK, but far more in Europe.

Well i currently have an Sumatran leaf turtle and a chinese striped which both were bought from the UK. I have seen people selling these species in the past but back then i didn't have the room, now i do.

I'm not saying they're never available in the UK, just rarely and they don't usually hang around very long, I'm sure if you search for long enough you'll eventually find what you want, personally I'd just go to where they have them if I wanted them badly enough.
I can think of worse things than a weekend in Paris and coming home with some really interesting turts!

Hi do you have any photographs of your box as I am interested and only live near Amesbury.

What do you keep him in and what is he fed on?

Many thanks

pm me your email address for pics.

I keep him in a viv with a tray of water (my basilisc set up), but he really wants a semi aquatic set up. Eats giant mealworms, crickets, fish pellets etc but usually swallows with his head underwater.

Thank you. I have kept them before but you can always pick tips up. Keep them the same as my Reeves and Mexican Wood Turtles very similar to how your guide portrays. Will have to try and locate a female for him now.
