Default turtle dock?

anyone used these? are they sturdy?

They're OK, really only suitable for smaller turts though, I prefer to use a piece of corkbark wedged across one end of the tank, like this...



It's much more stable, takes the weight of even the biggest turts, and costs just a few quid. IMO it looks nicer than a chunk of moulded plastic too!

Ive got a medium one in my tank at the moment but i have a large waiting to go in soon cause i couldnt resist another addition so i thought they'd like more land :P They are sturdy, i think they are great, its funny when they try to climb up the sides without the ramp xD only downside is if they poo on it under the heat lamp it dries and its very hard to get off completely, i pour boiling water over it and scrub it with a old toothbrush

would my map turtles (4-3") use them? and what size tank are you using?

Any basking turtle will use it, that one is in a 36" x 18" x 15" quarantine tank. I use big chunks of floating corkbark in my pond too.
