Question Help

I have 2 paeninsula cooters and the male's shell is quite light compared 2 my female and he has little dots on his shell . Is this normal ?

Colour variations between individuals are quite normal, just like humans no two look exactly alike, the dots could be many things, it could be that he's preparing to shed, or they could be mineral deposits, or something else.

As always some clear photographs would really help!
