Default dry skin on my sulcata

hi all this is my first post, i am new to keeping torts, i have a sulcata wich i have been told is 8 months old, loves its food and is very lively.
i also add lime flour daily to his/her food and nutrobal 4 times a week,

tommy (yep its an original name) has become a part of the family, the kids love him,btw they also named him i am concerned as tommys head seems to be very dry and flakey, is this normal ? any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hi Kel to RFUK.

He's just shedding his skin... all absolutely normal. Would love to see pics of Tommy if you have any.

the dry skin on his head will be kept to a minimum if you spray him with a water bottle evry day and bath him once a week. even though he is an african tortoise he will still appreciate the moisture and humidity for a few minutes. my big sulc billy used to love being hosed down in the garden. he would wallow in the mud given a chance!
