Default Pics Of tort, and new outside enviroment

Hey all,

After reading all your gr8 advice i have spent the day building my tort(Hardcore) A new outside enviroment, I will attach some pics up here too,

For now i have decided he is only alloud out to play when im in the garden with him!

I think in the near future i will construct a lockable house with a lamp in the garden, but for now play time is supervised,!

I have also got rid of the heat mat, ad he will be living in the viv for a while!

Here are pics, Please let me know what you think,

thats quite an achievement for a days work!! looking very good, i am sure you will spend hours watching him. will you be putting some pea netting over the top? magpies and crows can carry torts away and eat them. not just the tiny ones either, they can carry up to 150g if they are big!

Yeah netting is the plan, Till then he has supervision! lol,
When i get netting will he be ok out side with no heat lamp?
Im still a little unsure of when he needs heating up n recharging!

Well done on such a quick enclosure build! Have you created a barrier underneath the soil around the border so that your tort can't get out when he digs down? Definitely best not to leave him to his own devices until he has netting over it! Be very careful as I know of someone whose tort was taken by a bird right from under their nose.

He's a very nice looking horsfield.

Yeah the fence is dug a few inches under ground, N e deeper is old gravel n hardcore, Will see how he gets on and if need be i will make adjustments! I did put him in his pen earlier but all he wants to do is sleep! He been running around all day tho!

Aslong as the temperature doesn't drop below 10 degrees he should be fine. Are you bringing him indoors at night?
